Description

  • The OMX-PSW6F was designed to solve the problem of multiple Firewire (IEEE1394) selection and routing in the DV production environment. Designed as either a 6×1 selective switcher or a 1×6 destination switcher, the OMX-PSW6F will provide a cost effective and simple means of controlling DV media traffic in the modern production facility. Designed with high quality 6-Pin IEEE1394 components, the OMX-PSW6F is the perfect DV utility product.
  • The OMX-PSW6F is designed to handle IEEE1394 (FireWire) 100Mbps media data signals only. The product was not designed for IEEE1394 peripherals such as hard drives, scanners or printers which require power management protocols.
  • Some equipment such as cameras may have to be powered down before switching, and then power back on afterwards. The OMX-PSW6F should not be used as a “HOT SWITCH”. It should be used as a data selector.
